Harrison Warren (b.1994) is a sculptor currently living in West Wales. He takes his inspiration from science and nature, in particular; naturally occurring patterns and phenomena. A great appreciation for the outdoors and natural beauty
drove him to abstract the world around him in a number of different materials, mostly in metal. Following on from his previous work into erosion, his current work focuses on capturing the grace of movement through a medium, natural or not. Having studied different fluid dynamics, Warren makes simplified forms based on the different materials involved.
“I want to capture the grace hidden within the ebbs and flows of a moving medium and freeze them in a moment
in metal. Hard angular elements with sweeping shapes and flowing forms are the eddies that flow around us, encapsulated in steel, hiding the sheer force that is necessary to create them.” H.W
